Doula Services
What is a Doula?
The word ‘doula’ comes from the ancient Greek meaning: “a woman who serves”, and is now used to refer to a trained and experienced professional who provides continuous physical, emotional and informational support to the client before, during, and after birth and during the postpartum period.
Evidence for continuous support during childbirth
39% Decrease in risk of cesarean
40 minutes shorter labour
15% Increase in likelihood of spontaneous vaginal birth
38% decrease in the baby's risk of a low 5 minute APGAR score
10% decrease in the use of any medications for pain relief

After the birth of my first child via an unplanned homebirth, and the subsequent births of my next four babies, I fell passionately in love with all things birth-related.
As a mother five times over, I have a wealth of experience and a calm, compassionate spirit to share. As a certifying Birth & Postpartum Doula, I believe everyone deserves continuous care to support them in one of the most intimate moments of their lives.
Giving birth should be your greatest achievement, not your greatest fear. I can’t wait to help mothers achieve the birth they desire, feel empowered, heard and respected.
Let me help you find the joy in birth!
